About me
My name is Naomi Roberts, and I am 21 years of age. I was born and raised on the island of Sint Maarten and moved to the Netherlands in 2018, shortly after completing my secondary education in the VWO department at Milton Peters College. I am currently a fourth-year student at the Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda, studying Biological and Medical Laboratory Research with Forensic Science as my major. In addition to this, I specialized in Forensic Biology and also completed a six-month minor in cyber security at the Saxion Hogeschool in Enschede, focusing on Forensic IT. I am currently carrying out an internship at the Clinical Genetics Department at the Maastricht UMC+, where I am working on the project genome DNA methylation for Kabuki syndrome patients through bisulfite sequencing. If I were to describe myself in three words, it would be hardworking, passionate, and goal-oriented. Outside of work, you’ll often find me either reading a self-development book, watching a Netflix series, or sitting at the beach having a smoothie!
