About me
I am a certified European laboratory geneticist specializing in reproductive genetics. Actively contributing to the field, I have participated in drafting the ESHRE guidelines for implementing preimplantation genetic testing for chromosomal abnormalities (PGT-A) and have been a member of the ESHRE PGT Steering Committee since 2022. The laboratories I have worked with regularly submit comprehensive PGT cycle data to the ESHRE PGT Consortium.
I have been involved in establishing two preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) laboratories within private IVF clinics located in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece. She earned her PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. With 22 years of experience, I am specialized in implementing PGT techniques and providing patients with informed guidance.
I served as an Associate Editor for Human Reproduction from January 2021 to January 2025 and continue to contribute as a reviewer for Human Reproduction, Human Reproduction Update, JARG, and Fertility & Sterility. My academic contributions include authorship of 15 articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and 30 presentations at international conferences.
My primary research interests focus on the morphokinetic parameters of embryo development and ploidy. I am currently undergoing advanced cross-disciplinary training at the Masoud Zamani Esteki Lab at Maastricht UMC+, as part of the European research program NESTOR: "Cross-Sectoral Alliance as The Key for Innovation-Driven Business Success". This initiative bridges industry and academia, hosted by Maastricht UMC+, Maastricht University Medical Center, Netherlands. Through this program, I aim to explore technological innovations and research advancements in developing universal PGT and non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (ni-PGTA) through cross-disciplinary collaborations.
