About me
I am currently pursuing a Master’s specialization in Genetics and Genomics at Maastricht University. My interest in the complex processes of embryonic development began during my Bachelor’s studies, where I first became intrigued by how early cellular events shape life. This interest has grown throughout my Master's, leading me to explore related areas such as germ cell signaling and epigenetic events like imprinting. As part of my Master's program, I am excited to start a 9-month internship with the CGM research group. My project focuses on non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing (NIPGT), where I will analyze methylome data from cell-free DNA in the spent culture medium of IVF embryos. This project provides a unique opportunity to apply my knowledge of genetics and embryonic development in a clinical context. During this internship, I aim to expand my skill set, particularly in dry-lab techniques and data analysis, and contribute to advances in reproductive genetics.

Personal touch
Besides my studies, my heart belongs to gymnastics. After ten years of competitive gymnastics, I now enter the world of student gymnastics for 4 hours a week. Furthermore, I like to explore new countries and learn new skills like micro photography, drawing, and knitting.
